Alternative Energy Concepts Americans are seeking new ways to break their dependency on man-made power sources and they are looking to the earth for help. Alternative Energy Concepts specializes in Solar, Wind and Geothermal answers to the power supply debate. With such a specialized business the Graphic Design team at ARC knew they had to create something unique. Situation Joe Sheffield, of Fayetteville, North Carolina was starting up a small business that would help clients set up alternative energy systems at their businesses and homes. He asked ARC Design to help him decide on the perfect name and then design the perfect logo to go along with it. Problem Alternative Energy Concepts was beginning from the ground up. The client did not have any concrete ideas to pull from. This was both a negative and a positive for the design team. The negative was that the graphic design team had no design ideas from the client, and the positive was that they had a clean slate to design on. Solution The graphic design team came up with a unique design concept that was playful, witty and aesthetically appealing. They played off of the environmentally friendly business' mission by using earth colors of green and yellow. It was a design solution that suited the clients needs perfectly. Evaluation The client loved the logo design. In the month that followed, the logo was printed on business cards, letterhead, envelopes and even on the company van and polo shirts worn by the staff. ARC Design created the perfect logo to help this budding company make a name for itself. |
